Maintenance of Your Corvette Brakes

Indeed, it’s going to be a great risk if you ever choose to ignore your brakes. Your need of the brakes to yield total reliability could come at any time. This is why you cannot ignore the maintenance of your Corvette brakes at all. If yours is a C5 you have to decide what all you need to order with relevance to the C5 Corvette brakes. For the daily use of course, you’d need the Corvette brake fluid test strips and the bleeder tool. This tool could be either the DIY version or the MaxPro. Then for the brake rotor package you have to decide among the DecelaRotors and the high performance brake packages that could be the set of the front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors. The front would be the 13” Baer EradiSpeed variant while the rear would be the 12”Baer EradiSpeed variant. These packages for the C5 Corvette brakes come with the high temperature brake fluid as well as the DOT approved stainless steel brake lines.

Similarly, for the C6 Corvette brakes you would need to go for one of the high performance brake packages. You may also seriously consider switching to ceramic brake pads that build less black dust that builds up on the wheels. These brake pads are available in the Hawk HPS variant for the rear and the GM-OEM for the front. Parts for the C6 Corvette brakes may include Corvette brake pad cover set, the Corvette line lock kit and the Corvette brake caliper bracket that’s powder coated.
